Summit participants engaged in discussion

To celebrate two decades of dedicated service by Ability Foundation, we proudly organized IncludAbility20 on September 27, 2015. This momentous summit brought together a diverse array of individuals, including advocates, policymakers, educators, and members of the disability community. Our collective mission was to champion the rights and recognition of people with disabilities across our nation.

Panel discussion at the summit

In alignment with the International Day of the Deaf, this event stood as a vital platform to confront and dismantle the pervasive biases and stigmas surrounding disability. By fostering open dialogue and sharing personal experiences, we aimed to build empathy and understanding among attendees.

The summit featured two dynamic panels, each designed to address critical aspects of inclusion

Education & Employment

The first panel focused on the essential themes of education and employment, emphasizing innovative strategies to create inclusive workplaces and learning environments.

The Power of Diversity

The second panel explored the profound societal benefits of embracing diversity. Speakers highlighted how harnessing the unique talents of individuals with disabilities enriches communities and drives progress.

Summit Outcomes

Participants left the summit inspired and empowered, ignited with a renewed commitment to advocate for an inclusive society. Together, we stand on the brink of change, ready to reshape perceptions and create opportunities where every individual’s contribution is not only welcomed but celebrated. We invite you to join us in these kinds of transformative journeys, as we strive to create a world where ability is recognized, diversity is embraced, and inclusion is the norm for everyone.
