Ability Foundation

Initiated at a time when disability was shrouded in myths, limited visibility, and social non-acceptance, Ability Foundation has grown into a nationwide force for change. Based in Chennai, India, we have evolved into a powerhouse driving inclusion and empowerment for persons with disabilities.

Established in 1995 with a strong set of ideals and a clear mission, the foundation works to ensure that persons with disabilities are included and empowered in every walk of life.

We envision a world where every man, woman, and child receives their due—regardless of disability. With the right opportunities at the right time, we believe possibilities are limitless. Inclusion begins with an open mind.

Our advocacy spans publishing and media, inclusive education, training, and employment. We work relentlessly to break down barriers, shift public attitudes, and bridge the divide between persons with and without disabilities.

Organising events that challenge stereotypes has been one of our most sustained efforts. These initiatives demonstrate that with the right support and opportunities, persons with disabilities are equally capable. Our goal is a truly inclusive society where everyone has access to a level playing field.
