The first deaf-blind person to get an award in India, Pradeep lives independently and
confidently in the sprawling metropolis of Mumbai. He teaches computers to others like
him, bringing cheer into their lives and spreading knowledge.
Buse Gowda (Bangalore, Karnataka) In what can only be described as
extraordinary, Buse, a visually-impaired person has perfected a visual artform that
takes people years to master: dance. He is a well-known professional dancer and
performer in his own right, his visual impairment notwithstanding.
