EmployABILITY 2010

EmployABILITY2010 ... the sixth edition of the trendsetting the job opportunities fair initiated by Ability Foundation, for qualified persons with disabilities.

From the very first time that it was conducted in 2004, EmployABILITY has been hailed as a landmark event for bringing together qualified candidates with disabilities and committed equal opportunity employers.

EmployABILITY2010 was organised on August 7 & 8, 2010 and jointly presented by Ability Foundation & the Lions Club of Padi Shenoynagar , in partnership with Naukri.com. As always, EmployABILITY 2010 too, was spread over two days with the preparatory seminars and written tests on Day One; and the interviews on Day Two.

EmployABILITY2010 brought together 53 companies representing nearly every segment of industry – ranging from IT and ITES, Advertising, Logistics, Consultancy Firms, Retail, Pharmaceuticals, Training, Manufacturing, Banking and Finance, Textiles, Real Estate, Hospitality, Leather, E-Learning, E Publishing and Telecommunications .

Nearly 900 qualified candidates registered for the fair from 21 states across the country. Of these, 736 were men and 139 women. Their qualifications ranged from degrees in engineering, computer science, humanities and commerce to finance and management.

The high-end qualifications of candidates, their confidence in themselves and their skills and their faith in Ability Foundation that manifested in the fact that many of them were stepping out of their homes for the first time to travel all the way to Chennai… were all a revelation and a humbling experience.

EmployABILITY2010  was supported by CavinKare (P) Ltd, UCal Fuel Systems and Punjab National Bank, with media support from Dinamani, The New India Express, Andhra Jyothy and Dainik Bhaskar.
