ExpressABILITY

2002 and 2003, saw the first of a series of workshops held across the country called ExpressABILITY for media persons, in association with The New Indian Express Group. This involved a discussion and a debate with media persons on disability advocacy, the need to use sensitive language and the need for greater and more frequent coverage of disability issues in the media. Eminent people from the media interacted with the participants to explore fresh avenues and the proactive role that media could henceforth play to bring about greater visibility for persons with disabilities.
